Riverside Arts Market
The Riverside Arts Market, known as RAM, is a weekly “loyal-to-local” market of artists, makers, food vendors and farmers held every Saturday from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., rain or shine, under the Fuller Warren Bridge on the Riverside riverfront. It is a program of Riverside Avondale Preservation, a nonprofit.
Produce is sold along Farmers Row, where the market says it tracks “food miles,” how far each farmer’s food has traveled. From the Farmers Row page:
- Farmers and bakers accept SNAP/EBT, and farmers accept WIC Farmers’ Market Nutrition Program coupons.
- Through Feeding Florida’s Fresh Access Bucks, SNAP purchases are matched dollar for dollar each market day.
- The market offers composting for its farmers with Apple Rabbit Compost.
Coming up: RAM’s dog-themed Arf Barket is Saturday, Oct. 31, 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., and the city’s Animal Care and Protective Services will bring adoptable dogs, according to the city’s event listing.
Next door, the Artist Walk at 718 Riverside Ave. hosts the free JaxParks movie night on Friday, Oct. 23; see things to do this month.
