Black Friday and holiday shopping in Jacksonville 2026

Sources: Simon’s pages for St. Johns Town Center and The Avenues, Orange Park Mall, the Riverside Arts Market, the City of Jacksonville’s trash holiday schedule and its Office of Special Events. We list hours only as each center publishes them, and we do not list deals or prices.

Black Friday is Friday, Nov. 27, 2026, and Small Business Saturday is Nov. 28. None of Jacksonville’s big shopping centers had posted 2026 Thanksgiving or Black Friday hours when we checked in early October. This page says where each one publishes them and will be updated as they do.

Shopping centers and where they post holiday hours

At St. Johns Town Center, individual store pages there carried their own Thanksgiving and Black Friday hours last year, so check the store as well as the center. The Avenues is off Interstate 95 at Exit 339, at Philips Highway and Southside Boulevard; its general line is 904-363-3060. Orange Park Mall, about 12 miles southwest in Clay County, is reached on 904-269-2422.

Big-box stores set their own hours and announce them in November. We will add each center’s hours here as it publishes them.

Small Business Saturday

Small Business Saturday falls on Nov. 28. In Jacksonville, the neighborhood shopping streets in Riverside and Avondale, San Marco and the Five Points district are home to many independent shops; check each business’s own page for its hours that weekend. Business districts and merchant groups running a Small Business Saturday event can send details through our contact page.

Holiday markets

• RAM Holiday Market, Riverside Arts Market, 715 Riverside Ave., under the Fuller Warren Bridge. The market says the Holiday Market returns in coordination with the city’s Artist Walk Ice Rink and runs Friday, Saturday and Sunday evenings in the winter season. Its vendor dates posted so far are Saturday, Dec. 5, Sunday, Dec. 6, Sunday, Dec. 20, and Sunday, Dec. 27, 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Market listing.
• Artist Walk Ice Rink, 718 Riverside Ave. The seasonal rink next to the market ran last winter; its operator had not posted 2026 dates when we checked. jaxonice.com. Parking is listed at the Florida Blue garage, 532 Riverside Ave.

Santa visits at the malls

• Heroes and Holidays, Orange Park Mall, Saturday, Nov. 14. The mall and the Veterans Council of Clay County host Santa’s Grand Arrival, the Tougher Than You Think 5K (registration required), a Santa family fun run, vendors, bounce houses, a petting zoo, reindeer pony rides and face painting until 1 p.m. Admission is free. Parking, traffic and city services

• Downtown on Saturday, Nov. 28: the city’s Holiday River Fest runs from 5 p.m. with the tree lighting, the Light Boat Parade and fireworks along the river. Expect crowds downtown that evening; the city had not posted road closures when we checked. See our Christmas parade and tree lighting page and road closures.
• Trash: only the Thanksgiving Day route moves, to Saturday, Nov. 28, per the city’s holiday schedule.
• Report a problem: the Sheriff’s Office non-emergency line is 904-630-0500; 911 for emergencies.

• Shopping downtown or in Riverside on Nov. 28? Allow for Holiday River Fest crowds that evening.
