Enrolling a new student
New students, including kindergartners, enroll online. The district’s five steps: check the requirements, gather your documents, complete the new student application, watch for the email confirmation, then create a linked parent account. Help is available by phone at 904-390-2082 or in person at the Parent Resource Center; walk-ins are welcome, but the district warns waits can be long, especially in summer.
Pre-kindergarten has its own application; the district lists 46 pre-K programs. Military families have a dedicated enrollment page.
School choice
Every address has a zoned neighborhood school, but families can apply for magnet programs and other options through the district’s school choice process, and explore programs in the choices directory. High school acceleration programs and the Duval Virtual Instruction Academy have their own applications.
