Land use notices
The Planning Department posts a notice for each pending change to the Future Land Use Map of the 2045 Comprehensive Plan. Each notice names the site, the current and proposed land use, the applicant and every hearing date. On Oct. 9 the Land Use Notices page listed 13 small-scale and two large-scale applications, plus two proposed text amendments: Ordinance 2026-631, on marina slips in the central business district, and Ordinance 2026-632, on compatibility.
Applicants must post signs about every 200 feet along the property’s street frontage, the city says. Written comments can go to the Planning Department before its staff report and to the City Council’s Legislative Services Division before the hearing.
Zoning cases
Exceptions, variances and waivers go to the Planning Commission, which meets twice a month on Thursdays in the Ed Ball Building. Its agendas and results are on the Planning Commission page. See our building permits and zoning guide.

The Duval County Clerk of Courts runs foreclosure sales and tax deed sales online and keeps the official records. Its main line is 904-255-2000. Notices published in Florida newspapers, including foreclosures, probate and other court notices, are collected on Florida Public Notices.
